With all due respect John, I think your point is an example of the mix-up that quite a few folks had at Synod (I was there), on the difference between a digital ministry and a virtual-only church. This podcast is not a church.
Local churches should certainly be encouraged to have digital ministries (like live streaming), but groups that try to “assemble” and “do church” only online…in my view, cannot satisfy the definitions of a true church.
Using an online medium to say online mediums aren’t adequate church?
Can’t we “embody” something higher and actually MODEL what we are teaching?
If we want an in-person denomination and worship experience, why are we going online to address it?
